Proper vocal production through breathing support and placement with a centuries old technique is the basis of Classical Voice instruction. Mastery of this technique creates a truly brilliant and virtuoso singer who can sing for years and years. Besides technical study, students 14 and up become familiar with all periods of opera, art song and sacred music composed the great classical composers. They learn to sing in English, Latin, Italian, French, German and Russian and learn the art of interpretation. They are also taught the details of singing music in a stylistically correct manner. Students at an appropriate level of accomplishment have the opportunity to perform as soloists in the MONROE AREA OPERA and with the MONROE CONSORT.
